Neon Gods meets The Phantom of the Opera in this spicy modern retelling with a magical twist.
Haunted by the violent death of her parents, Christine Daae longs to find solace in music, but her anxiety won’t allow her to perform for anyone. Left without an inheritance, she lives and works at the New Orpheum Theatre, an industrial complex that’s been partly transformed into a luxurious event space. But when Christine ventures into the uninhabited section of the building, she discovers a stairway with fantastic acoustics and hears a ghostly male voice offering to give her singing lessons.
With the Phantom’s praise boosting her confidence, Christine successfully auditions for the first time, and her childhood friend Raoul casts her in his upcoming musical. But Christine has secrets of her own, and spending time with the Phantom and Raoul jeopardizes the truth she’s desperate to conceal.
As her mysterious mentor becomes more demanding and obsessive, Christine realizes how powerfully his darkness calls to hers. Raoul and the Phantom clash over Christine, but the heat between them quickly shifts into something more seductive. Confessing what the three of them truly crave is risky enough…but an unexpected supernatural threat could rip them apart forever.
