Battle of the Bookstores

Two booksellers across the street from one another—a long-established indie bookstore and a new flashy chain—battle for supremacy only to find a romance and a friendship they never saw coming. The readers of Savannah, Georgia can’t wait to shop at the new book superstore, Prologue. But for the owners of the iconic, historic, and homely Readmore bookstore, the new competition is a death sentence. With the stakes high and the future of their beloved store on the line, the owners of Readmore, a pair of lifelong friends, decide to play dirty. They launch a viral campaign to position themselves as the last indie bookstore standing and Prologue as the evil corporate villain, even if the truth is far more complicated. The ensuing feud grows increasingly bitter—and increasingly public—as the two stores sabotage each other. But when the employees of Prologue and Readmore are forced to work together in a series of challenges for charity, the line between friend and foe begins to blur, and the resulting friendships and romances are even more complicated than the battle of the bookstores.
