Deception

Ophelia “Lia” Nichols never wanted a perfect life. She would have settled for ordinary. Unfortunately, even ordinary seems like a stretch after her mother dies tragically and unexpectedly, leaving her in the care of Lia’s stepfather who makes her skin crawl and Cam, the stepbrother with whom she’s helplessly in love. Despite the grief taking her to her knees, she keeps hoping things will get better.

They don’t.

In fact, they seem to be getting worse, starting with Lia’s acceptance to Everton University, an Ivy League caliber university that she never applied to, despite the letter in her hands saying otherwise.

At Everton, Lia is surrounded by mysteries including an enigmatic professor neither she nor Cam can seem to resist. As they enter their senior year, Lia and Cam begin to realize that, not only is Everton not what it seems, but there’s something dark festering in its hallowed halls.

And the darkness may have its sights set on them.
